Communicating with a Person Living with Dementia

It’s important to make the effort to engage people living with dementia to reduce their isolation and help them feel included. Yet it can be uncomfortable and intimidating if you don’t know what to say or how to respond – especially if they say things that we consider inappropriate or that don’t make sense to us.  Our Communicating with a Person Living with Dementia workshop will give you tips, tricks and strategies you can use to connect effectively with people living with dementia at all stages of the disease. Supporting Someone Who Is Grieving

Do you struggle to do or say the right thing when someone is grieving? You’re not alone! When a person dies, it can be difficult to know how to support their family and friends. Are you saying the wrong things? Are you doing the right things? Since grief can show up differently in different people, it’s important to understand how to respect the individuality of grief. And we’re here to help.

Back by popular demand, and led by Acclaim Health’s expert Grief and Bereavement Counsellors, our Supporting Someone Who Is Grieving workshop will dispel some of the myths around grieving and address some of the most common questions we get about the grieving process.
