Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE)
Designed for nurses, this course will grow your hospice palliative care knowledge and expertise.
The Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE) program was redesigned in 2023 to be reflective of best practice, evidence-based hospice palliative care and knowledge translation strategies in order to effectively meet the needs of learners. The program design aligns with the Model to Guide Hospice Palliative Care and The Ontario Palliative Care Competency Framework.
Following active participation in all program components, the CAPCE graduate will practice as a competent hospice palliative care resource nurse and support the development of skills among their peers. This program will take approximately 4 months to complete and there are a maximum of 10 learners per class. Available for nurses working in Halton/Peel regions.
