Help an older adult in your community find new ways to enjoy life and connect with others! Volunteer in our Technology Accessibility Program (TAP) to visit an older adult in their home and show them how to use a tablet, Facebook, YouTube, Zoom, emails, games or other kinds of technology that can enrich their life. Each training module has been written and customized using age friendly best practices, and your client can choose which ones they’d like to complete with you. Tech Cafe

Our Tech Cafes are two-hour events where older adults can get “technology tutoring.” They bring their smartphones or tablets and ask our volunteers basic questions, such as:

  • How do I use my new iPhone?
  • How can I manage my calendar app?
  • How can I check my voicemail?

Would you be interested in helping out? As a Tech Café volunteer, you can experience the joy of providing one-on-one support to an older adult that helps them solve challenges and feel more confident on their digital journey!
